In August, Eddie Murphy and his then-girlfriend Paige Butcher confirmed that their family was about to get bigger.
The announcement came shortly after the Australian actress was spotted with a baby bump while out for a stroll.
"Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December," a rep for the Coming to America actor said in a statement.
Murphy, 57, and Butcher, 39, have been together since 2012 and are already parents to a two-year-old daughter named Izzy Oona.
At the time, a source revealed to People that although Murphy was already a father of nine, the couple was "very happy to expect another baby" because they have been wanting to give Izzy a younger sibling.
A month later, the mom-to-be not only confirmed that she and the comedian were engaged, she also shared the sex of the baby with TMZ: "It's going to be a boy."
The couple have been laying low ever since, but Murphy's rep has revealed that their bundle of joy is finally here.
"Both mother and son are doing well," Murphy's rep said.
The notoriously private couple did not share photos of the little guy, but they did reveal his name.
The Shrek star's 10th child, Max Charles, was born on November 30, weighing in at 6lbs., 11 oz., and measuring 19 inches long.
Although it remains unconfirmed, it is very likely that Max's middle name is in honor of Murphy's late older brother, Charles. Also an actor and comedian, Charles died from leukemia in April 2017 at the age of 57.
Baby Max will join big sister Izzy as well as Murphy's children from his previous relationships, including his 29-year-old son with Paulette McNeely, Eric, 27-year-old Christian, whom he shares with Tamara Hood, 11-year-old Angel Iris, whose mother is Spice Girl Mel B, daughters Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, and Bria, 28, and 25-year-old son Miles Mitchell, all of whom are with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy.
While it can be hard to maintain such a large blended family, the Murphys are doing a great job at staying close to each other.
"They are all about family," a source close to the family told People. "Paige is very close to Eddie's kids. They are a very special and happy family. They vacation and spend holidays together."
Murphy, who rarely opens up about his personal life, gushed about his kids in a 2016 interview while attending Bria's art show in Los Angeles.
"I really got lucky with my kids," he said. "There really isn't a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people. None of my kids are like me, and I'm sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other. None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing, They're good kids."
