If you're eating sweet potato pie, then it's safe to say you're from the south! Ain't anything better than a good ol' sweet potato pie recipe....at least that's what I thought until I tried Elvis's Sweet Potato Pie!

There's nothing better than simple recipes with minimal ingredients, and that's exactly what this recipe is! I made this over the weekend for my family and friends and everyone absolutely loved it, there was only a couple slices left by the time everyone was done.

Try this recipe out next time you have some friends over if you're looking for something that you're sure everyone will enjoy!

1. Wash and peel your sweet potatoes, then bake them until they are tender enough to pierce with a fork.

2. In a large bowl, mash the potatoes then add in all the remaining ingredients and combine using a hand mixer.

3. Pour mixture into the pie shell and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 deep dish pie shell

Directions
