Teen Mom, a continuation of the MTV show 16 & Pregnant is a lightning rod for criticism, even from people who aren't fans. Many people believe the show actually encourages teen pregnancy, as these girls are given money and fame because of their mistakes.
But regardless of your take on the show, you've probably heard of Farrah Abraham. She got pregnant at 16 and was left as a single mom when the father of her baby was tragically killed in a car accident. Farrah gave birth to her daughter, Sophia, and that's kind of where things started to get messy for her.
Farrah immediately garnered a reputation as a diva. She constantly screamed at her parents when they were trying to help her, and she seemed to think her personal life was more important than her parenting life.
As years moved forward, Farrah tried to stay in the spotlight not just on Teen Mom, but all over Hollywood. She began undergoing plastic surgery and drastically changed her appearance.
Farrah also dipped her toes in the world of adult entertainment. She was paid $10,000 for her sex tape, although she claims it was $1,000,000. Her decision to do porn was a point of contention among other cast members, with fan-favorite Maci Bookout threatening to leave the show if Farrah was invited back.
"When I was approached about the show coming back on, I made it very, very clear that I was not going to have any part of [it] if her story was going to be on the show too," Maci told MTV. "I have no dislike towards her or hard feelings towards her -- nothing about that. I just don't find it appropriate to put my six-year-old son on TV where one second we're at the baseball field playing baseball with him, and come back from a commercial break and we're at a strip club. That's not appropriate."
Now, as the show approaches its fifth season, Farrah Abraham revealed she has been fired. But she's not happy about it.
Farrah broke the news about being fired on her Facebook page Monday night, where she went off on the network for firing her because she's an adult entertainer.
"Viacom let me go because as a Business Mogul I act like an adult and part take in adult promotions and activities that other adults do for FREE or in private!" Farrah wrote. "Even though I have successfully been to gentlemen's clubs appearances they filmed and Viacom filmed me at the AVN's & Viacom shows and glorifies showing couples having sex on their network but as stated today "my brands press out shines the Teen mom Viacom press."
"Sad such a phenomenal show will no longer have its biggest talent on the show because of women hating, sex shaming, hate crimes, selfish, Weinstein company power trip behaviors against a professional hard working, honest mother," Farrah continued.
"I give this chapter of my life to GOD & all of his glory & to justice in court. If God's for you who dare be against you. I look forward to writing my first business book and sharing all of these life changing experiences in detail , from scheming producers & executives to jealous celebrities, what to do to over come , not be shattered & stay true to the free world we live in!" she concluded.
Farrah also claims she was "exploited" by the network as they aired a promo for this coming season with Farrah and her daughter in it. Though Farrah seems to think the show is losing a big talent, fans don't agree.
