11 Celebrities Who Became First-Time Parents In 2018

If there's anything people love more than celebrities it's their offspring.

For some reason, the press and the public can't get enough of A-list babies. We don't blame them, like every baby, these famous bubs are super adorable. Plus, they have the most unique names (hello, Stormi and Chicago).

By the end of 2017, many celebrities announced that they were expecting in 2018, and a bunch of them were going to be joining the parenting club for the first time.

Now, after months of anticipation, some of the wee little ones are finally here.

In case you've lost track, here are all the celebrities who became first-time parents this year (so far):

1. Kym Johnson

Closer Weekly

Dancing with the Stars pro Kym Johnson and her husband, Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec, welcomed twins on April 23, four months after announcing the pregnancy.

Kym, 41, and Robert, 55, have shared many details about their unborn babies leading up to their arrival, but they kept the sexes of their "miracle" babies to themselves, until two weeks before they were born.

The first time mom took to Instagram to share a photo of the babies, along with the caption: "I never thought my heart could feel so full. We're so in love with our little angels. Born at 7.44am and 7.45am 4/23/18."

Hours later, Herjavec, who is already a dad of three from his previous marriage, revealed that they have named the twins Heaven Mae & Hudson Robert in a sweet social media post.

The twins share a birthday with Prince Williams and Kate Middleton's newest addition to the royal family and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's third daughter, whose birth was also announced on the same day.

2. Jordin Sparks

The American Idol winner and her husband, Dana Isaiah, became a family of three with the birth of their son.

But it wasn't without minor complications.

Named after his father, baby Dana Isaiah Jr. or DJ was born on May 2 with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice.

The couple's midwife was able to quickly free DJ from the cord, and he finally took his first breath.

"It was just this incredibly miraculous, beautiful moment that I don't know could ever be duplicated," said Sparks, who attended the premiere of her movie just three days after giving birth. "You see in movies how emotional people get, but until you are actually sitting there ... it's beyond anything I've ever felt in my life."

DJ's birth comes just six months after the 28-year-old singer revealed that she eloped with Dana back in July 2017, and then found out they were expecting just a few weeks later.

3. Kylie Jenner

Dailynews.news

Aside from Kate Middleton, 20-year-old Kylie Jenner's secret pregnancy was probably the most talked about around the world.

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings was reported to be expecting a baby with her boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, back in September 2017, but she neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.

It was only after the birth of her daughter on February 1 that she finally put all speculation to rest.

Three days after giving birth, Kylie shared the happy news on Instagram in a post that included a video chronicling her journey to motherhood.

"Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I've had in my entire life and I'm actually going to miss it," she wrote.

In the days that followed, the new mom revealed that they named their daughter Stormi (Travis's real name is Jacques Webster).

4. John Stamos

Hello Magazine

A few years ago, Full House star John Stamos wasn't even sure he'd ever be a dad.

Now, just a little over two months after his February 3rd wedding to The Vampire Diaries actress Caitlin McHugh, John is dad to an adorable baby boy.

In April, the 54-year-old took to Instagram to share the news of his son's arrival. He skimped out on certain details, including when the baby was born, but he did reveal the name they've chosen and the meaning behind it.

ABC 7 News

John and Caitlin named their son Billy after the actor's father, William "Bill" John Stamos, who passed away in 1989.

"From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father)," Stamos, 54, captioned a photo of the newborn laying on his chest. "#NotJustanUncleAnymore #Overjoyed"

5. Joy-Anna Duggar

The "rebellious" member of the controversial Duggar family and her husband Austin Forsyth announced they were expecting just four months after their "rushed" wedding.

People began to speculate that they conceived the baby out of wedlock, which is considered scandalous for a Duggar.

Even a gynecologist weighed in on the pictures of Joy-Anna's bump, claiming that it looks like she was further along than she was letting on.

Finally, on February 23, Joy-Anna and Austin became first-time parents to a son. The 10lbs 3oz bundle of joy is named Gideon.

"We are blessed beyond measure with the arrival of our son, Gideon Martyn Forsyth," the couple told People. "Looking at our child for the first time was such an incredible moment! God is so good, and we are so thankful."

7. Khloe Kardashian

NY Daily News

After months of speculation, Khloe finally announced she was pregnant with Tristan Thompson's child in late December.

A few months after, she revealed that she confirmed that she was having a girl on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Sadly, Khloe's happy bubble was burst open just a few days before she was due when her boyfriend, NBA star Tristan Thompson, was caught on camera cheating.

Khloe Kardashian gave birth to their first child on April 12, and Tristan was present in the delivery room.

"[She is]" putting her feelings on hold, realizing for better or worse Tristan is the father of their child and knowing a bond between father and child can be cemented in the delivery room," said a source close to the couple.

Although Khloe has yet to reveal what her baby looks like, four days after the birth, she announced that they named her True.

Khloe's mother, Kris Jenner, later explained the meaning behind the unique name.

"FUN FACT...my Grandfather's name on my Dad's side was True Otis Houghton... My Dad's name was Robert True Houghton... So I am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!" she tweeted.

Frostsnow

The "A Thousand Years" singer and her husband Paul Costabile found that they were going to become parents less than two months after their engagement.

Christina would often share glimpses of her daughter, who was born on January 17, on social media, but she waited until March to officially introduce her to the world.

The 31-year-old singer shared a cute photo of their little girl, Carmella Stanley, along with the caption: "She is always smiling. She is pure joy & magic. We are so blessed & so in love!"

9. Kirsten Dunst & Jesse Plemons

E!

Kirsten Dunst and her fiance Jesse Plemmons are notoriously private, so it's no surprise that she managed to keep her pregnancy a secret until recently.

She revealed her bump when she appeared in Rodarte's 2018 lookbook earlier this year.

People

According to People, multiple sources close to Kirsten and Jesse  confirmed that they welcomed "a healthy baby boy" over the weekend of May 12.

"Everybody is doing great," added the source.

Neither the couple, who met on the set of Fargo, nor their reps have issued a statement about the new addition to their family.

10. Erin & Ben Napier

NBC

HGTV's Erin and Ben Napier welcomed their first child less than three months after announcing they were expecting.

The hosts of Home Town had scheduled a delivery, but their little girl couldn't wait and arrived much earlier than anticipated.

Erin Napier

Named after Erin's grandmother, Helen came into the world on January 3.

"She showed up two weeks early, but I think it's better that way because I got a great night's sleep before rushing to the hospital," Erin told HGTV. "I know as we got closer to the big day I would've been too anxious to sleep."

The HGTV family will be getting even bigger when Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines welcome their fifth child.

11. Rachel McAdams

Like fellow actress Kirsten Dunst, Rachel McAdams kept everything about her pregnancy and delivery hush hush.

The Notebook star and her boyfriend, Jamie Linden, reportedly welcomed their first child sometime in April but other than the gender, not much is known about the baby.

Hello Magazine

Soon after the news broke, the new parents were spotted around Los Angeles for the first time with their newborn.

The 39-year-old new mom and her partner were heard gushing about their baby boy over lunch, saying that he is "a good baby" and "good sleeper."
