Five Months After A Divorce, 'Married At First Sight' Star Is Expecting Twins

Nick Pendergrast, a 33-year-old property manager, and Sonia Granados, a social worker, got married the first day they met on season 4 of the reality show Married at First Sight.

As the case for most couples on the show, Nick and Sonia got along well at the start of their relationship, but struggled to make it work throughout the remainder of the season.

At one point, Nick even told the producers that he did not like Sonia. However, the couple gave each other a chance after the show ended and stayed together until earlier this year when Sonia confirmed that they filed for a divorce.

Soon after their separation, Nick met Heather Yarris, a love and relationship coach and AfterBuzz TV host. They talked for three months before finally meeting in May and have been inseparable ever since.

"She seemed like a breath of fresh air," said Nick. "From the moment I left her side, I couldn't stop thinking about her."

The new couple decided to move to California from Florida and fell in love during the five-day journey.

Mere months after they began dating, the pair announced that they're twins expecting, and now they've revealed the gender of the babies.

"We are shocked, excited and feeling blessed all at the same time," Nick told People back when he found out he was going to be a father.

The dad-to-be and his girlfriend revealed the sexes of their twins this week in an exclusive with People.

The couple, who are expecting a boy and a girl, held a gender reveal photo shoot on a beach where Nick hit two golf balls, one filled with blue smoke and the other with pink.

"We started crying, laughing and clapping with joy as soon as they said the genders," the couple said. "We were so excited to find out we had one of each. There is nothing more perfect than that!"

Nick and Heather are still getting used to their new state, and Nick is looking forward to exploring California with his family.

"I met the most genuine, empathetic woman and fell madly in love with her. I am most excited about Heather getting her energy back and finally being able to explore California," he said of the mom-to-be. "It will be even more fun doing it with our two new babies!"
