Ziggy Ansah is one of the most feared defensive ends in the NFL. The Detroit Lions star defensive linemen is always accounted for by opposing teams, and realistically he just looks terrifying staring at you from across the line of scrimmage. Number 94 in blue is a beast, but it turns out he has a softer side.
Earlier this week Ansah hosted a special day for some very deserving ladies.
Ansah treated a group of breast cancer survivors to a day at the spa in order to help them feel a little bit better about the situation and themselves.
"First and foremost, I think it is way bigger than football, I've had friends and family members affected by cancer. The position that I am in, I am just doing something good for these ladies, and it is a great experience for me," Ansah told the Detroit Lions press.
Ansah treated the ladies to a day at Bab's Salon and Wellness Spa, giving them a day to just relax and think about anything other than cancer and the struggles that they have been dealing with. Ziggy even took part in the spa festivities himself.
Bab's co-owner Bernadette Blanchard lost her mother to cancer and she says, "I've always had a passion for helping those in need in that area. I still do a lot of things in honor of her (her mother)."
Ansah always took some time to pose for pictures and sign some hats and jerseys for the very deserving ladies.
Big ups to Ziggy Ansah, the Detroit Lions organization, and Bab's Salon and Wellness Spa.
