  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
  • 1/3 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 teaspoons pure maple syrup

  • 2 packages instant vanilla pudding (3.4 ounce size)
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 container cool whip
  • Cinnamon for dusting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl, whisk together your cake mix with the nutmeg and cinnamon.

Blend in the eggs.

Pour in the butter along with the milk and sour cream and blend it.

Add vanilla.

Pour the cake mix into a large cake pan and bake for 26-28 minutes.

Once out of the oven, poke holes into the cake using the end of a wooden spoon while it is still warm.

Drizzel maple syrup over the holes so that it drips down inside the cake. Combine pudding mixture into the milk and mix it thoroughly.

Pour the pudding over the cake.

Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Add cool whip over the entire cake.

Sprinkle cinnamon on top and serve!
