Get A Designer Look with These Copycat Pier 1 Storage Bins

It's that time of the year again, time to open the windows, go through the closets, clean out the house, and get rid of all those items that are just sitting there taking up space.

Don't move too quickly though...that broken laundry basket you're about to toss can actually be redone into a beautiful decor basket! Take a peek and we'll show you how to do it!

I promise you, it looks harder than it actually is....but if you have some time and the desire to make one of these, you'll be happy you did because they are absolutely adorable!

Get creative and make them big or small, the choice is up to you! Use it as a basket to hold fresh fruit, a basket for your pets toys, a basket for your kids toys, or simply a basket to hold spare magazines like the picture above.

1. Begin by inserting your material into the basket, and then using a hot glue gun to glue the edges of the material under the rim of the basket.

2. Continue to do so until the material is glued all the way around and secure.

3. Once the material is in place, you can start gluing on the rope. Start at the base of the basket and glue the end of the rope to the basket.

4. Continue to add dabs of glue to the rope as you wrap it around the basket, and be sure to use lots so that it doesn't come undone.
