Meghan Markle Honored Princess Diana During Her First Royal Outing With The Queen- Did You Catch Her Tribute?

On March 12th, 2018, history was made as American bride-to-be Meghan Markle attend her very first official royal outing with Queen Elizabeth. In celebration of Commonwealth Day, Meghan along with the rest of the Fantastic Four (The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry) attended Westminster Abbey in London for a multi-faith prayer service.

While this specific royal outing received tons of press for being the first official outing with Meghan and Queen Elizabeth, another beloved royal was immediately recognized.

Princess Diana, Prince Harry's late mother, was quickly remembered the very second Meghan stepped out of her car. When you just take one glance at her, it's easy to see why.

Meghan was dressed beautifully and simply. She shined a white dress coat and stunning white beret. While Meghan's beauty fully captivated everyone's attention, it was her white beret that stole the show.

Meghan's striking beret was made by milliner Stephen Jones. Stephan Jones, as many knows, was a favorite designer of the late Princess Diana. She favored his hats for many years, and often wore one of his berets to piece together an ensemble.

Like Meghan, Diana was known for her love of fashion. Princess Di often topped off a look with the Stephan Jones' beret and when she did, all took notice.

Meghan's subtle tribute to her mother-in-law did no go unnoticed. Her simple yet obvious wink to Princess Di was tasteful and sweet, just like Meghan. Prince Harry beamed with pride as he and Meghan made history together. We're sure he was glad to see Meghan's simple tribute to his mother on such a prominent day in Meghan's life.

Did you notice Meghan's beret? If you did, did it make you think of the late Princess Diana? We can't help but remember each time we see a photo from the day.
