Palace Announces Exciting News About Arrival Of William And Kate's Third Child, Sparking Hysteria Throughout London

Royal Baby number three for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is due to arrive any day now. The official due date has never been revealed, but by the looks of the preparations taking place, it appears to be sooner rather than later.

Parking restrictions went up around the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, ready for the arrival of the Royal baby. And the press has already begun setting up around the hospital.

Prince George was born in the Lindo Wing in 2013 and Prince Charlotte was born there in 2015. Their father Prince William was also born at the same facility.

Talks of a possible home birth are still being reported, and only time will tell if the "parking restriction" signs are for real or merely a smokescreen to divert public attention from the real location in which Kate will bring her new little babe into the world.

Another subtle sign that the birth is imminent is the freshly-painted railings at the Lindo Wing.

After all, no one wants to see chipped paint and rust in the historic photos that will undoubtedly be taken on the front steps of the building after the Royal birth!

If the birth does, indeed, take place in hospital, the family will have to pay a pretty penny. The Lindo Wing is a private facility and is very expensive. It is estimated to have at least a $10,000 price tag for a normal birth.

The due date of the baby, who will be Queen Elizabeth's sixth great-grandchild, has not been revealed.

Pictured here is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth with all seven of her current great-grandchildren. They'll have to be making room for one more in the next snap!

The baby's sex is also a secret -- even to the Duke and Duchess, who chose not to find out if they were expecting a boy or a girl.

The child will be fifth in line to the throne, behind big sister Charlotte, bumping William's younger brother Prince Harry one place down the line of succession.

A change in the law after William and Kate were married in 2011 gave women the same rights of ascension to the throne as men. That means that even if the baby is a boy Charlotte retains her spot in the line of succession.

As the day gets closer, we can't help but speculate about all the unknowns, especially if the Duke and Duchess will add a little Prince or Princess to the fold. Regardless of which it is, we can almost guarantee that he/she will be every bit as charming and adorable as his/her two older siblings.
