Prince William Gets Scolded By The Queen At Public Event And Cameras Catch It All. Here's The Embarrassing Reason Why

You're gonna love this one! It's a video the Royal Family, and especially Prince William, probably wishes didn't exist. But it does and it will put a big smile on your face! It comes from last year and the celebration of his grandmother, The Queen's, 90th birthday.

The whole family was on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, from the oldest, Prince Philip right down to the youngest, Princess Charlotte; all the men were decked out in their military finery and Queen Elizabeth II was bright and beautiful in a neon green suit and matching hat. It was all smiles as the clan observed the pomp and circumstance of the Trooping The Color ceremony happening below.

It was all going well until Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Heir to the Throne, and Daddy, bent down to have a word with his little boy, Prince George. Now, mind you, its nothing any loving, attentive father wouldn't have done, but his Grandma, the Queen, had another viewpoint. When the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Armed Forces noticed one of her 'soldiers' was not standing at attention when the colors passed, she was not pleased.

To the Monarch, image is everything. And well-aware that cameras are everywhere when the Royal are on public display, Her Majesty The Queen could not allow his seemingly irreverent display to be witnessed by the entire world! Oops! Too late! His little faux pas was recorded for all posterity...and for our enjoyment!

With a solid jab to his shoulder and a few terse words, she made her displeasure known to her grandson.

"William, stand up!" And that was all she needed to say. Looking chagrined and a bit sheepish, the 6'3" Duke popped up to his full height and set his eyes back on the parade, below.

It must be a difficult line to walk, being the future King and knowing that duty to country is his most important responsibility, yet also wanting to be a great dad to his children by helping them understand what is happening at the big grown-up event they are attending.

For me, I found it refreshing and delightful to see that even though they are the most famous family in the world, and they have a long and colorful history behind them, that at the end of the day they are just like the rest of us.

Daddy chatting with his child and Granny reprimanding her grandson for not paying attention. lol!

Give yourself a treat and watch the entire (48-second) video of this charming couple of Royals acting like a normal Grandma and Grandson. It's adorable!
