This easy snack is healthier than what you can find in the store. You'll know what it contains and that's important.

Peanut butter is a fabulous source of protein; it is a healthy fat. It has vitamin B, niacin, and vitamin E. Just be careful that the peanut butter you use doesn't' contain an artificial sweetener called xylitol.

Bananas are great for your dog too. They contain potassium, manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, fiber, biotin, and copper. They are low in cholesterol and sodium; However, they do have a lot of sugar, so they should only be given to your dog as a treat. They shouldn't be part of their regular diet.

These frozen treats will not only keep your dog cool in the hot temps, but they'll love how they taste.

Here's how to make them:

You'll first need: 2 overripe bananas; 1 cup of Greek yogurt; 1/2 cup peanut butter.

Step 1) Mash your bananas until they are completely smooth.

Step 2) To make it easier to measure your peanut butter, put it in your microwave for around 15 seconds. this will soften it and make it pliable.

Step 3) Mix the peanut butter in with the bananas.

Step 4) Then mix in your Greek yogurt. Be sure everything is blended well.

Step 5) Pour your mix in to an ice cube tray and allow it to freeze overnight.

Step 6) serve treats to your dog. Store the rest in an airtight container stored in the freezer.
