Waitress Given Incredible Gift After Her Kind Gesture Is Spotted By Stranger

The world could learn a lot from 18 year-old Evoni Williams.

The kind-hearted waitress had been working at Texas Waffle House in La Marque to save up money for university.

Last week a customer "“ reliant on an oxygen tank to live "“ came in for a bite to it.

He told Evoni that his hands had limited mobility. But despite the teen being busy she happily spent some time cutting up his lunch.

Laura Wolf snapped the touching scene with a photo and shared the picture on Facebook.

"I don't know her name but I heard this elderly man tell her his hands don't work too good," wrote Laura.

"He was also on oxygen and struggling to breathe. Without hesitation, she took his plate and began cutting up his ham."

"This may seem small but to him, I'm sure it was huge."

"I'm thankful to have seen this act of kindness and caring at the start of my day while everything in this world seems so negative."

"If we could all be like this waitress and take time to offer a helping hand..."

After the story went viral, Texas Southern University decided to award the teenager with a $16,000 scholarship.

Evoni's dream is to study business management.

Evoni's surprise didn't end there.

The town mayor showed the gratitude of the city by declaring March 8 2018 Evoni "˜Nini' Williams Day.

Evoni, who was moved to tears by the bursary and the honor, told KHOU:

"I got my own day. It's something I would do any other day."

Later, the diner she had helped was tracked down. Adrien Charpentier, 78, was thanked Evoni persoally.

He said he was surprised he'd ended up on "˜Facebooks'.
