When E.L. James wrote the Fifty Shades trilogy, she single-handedly changed the public perception of erotic romance novels.
Women everywhere were jealous of the fictional Anastasia Steele and hoped to meet their own Christian Grey one day.
The books were quickly translated to the big screen, and were a major box office success. The final film, Fifty Shades Darker, is set to be released on February 9, and fans can't wait to see Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in action one final time.
However, there's definitely one person who won't be watching, and that's Dornan's wife, Amelia Warner.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dornan revealed his wife hasn't seen any of the Fifty Shades movies.
When DeGeneres asked if he feels like he has to live up to his kinky character for his wife, Dornan said he doesn't think Warner has those expectations.
"I'd like to think she's more in love with me than that guy. I know she hasn't seen the movies or anything," Dornan told the talk show host.
When DeGeneres asked if there was a particular reason why, Dornan was quick to give a response.
"I don't want to pay for a ticket for her to like... you know," he laughed.
Dornan also discussed his encounters with fans, some of which can be awkward at times. He said fans have come up to him in Starbucks and calls him Mr. Grey, while he's "literally holding one of my children."
"I don't know how to respond to it because I'm not him," Dornan said, adding they also frequently reference the "Red Room."
