Jennifer Aniston Reveals What She Eats Everyday And It's Not What I Would Eat If I Was A Star

You don't get named "The Most Beautiful Woman" in the world by People Magazine without working hard for it. At 48, Jennifer Aniston has an envious body, glowing skin and luscious locks that make her look like she hasn't lived a day over 28.

So what's her secret?

The Friends alum recently had a chat with Elle Magazine and shared the secrets behind her stellar appearance and unsurprisingly diet plays a major role.

Aniston told Elle that besides practicing yoga for over a decade and keeping up with a simple skincare routine using Aveeno products, she pays special attention to what she puts in her mouth to help her look and feel her best.

The Horrible Bosses star revealed that she likes to kick start her day with a glass of warm lemon water as soon as she wakes up. This simple routine alone is enough to provide the body with some amazing benefits including strengthening the immune system, ridding the body of toxins, curbing hunger, improving skin and reducing inflammation.

For breakfast, Aniston usually opts for a shake or avocado and eggs which she called "one of her favorites." When she's craving something more filling she relies on puffed wheat cereal with banana or oatmeal with "an egg white added at the end."

The actress said the egg white is for extra protein, a trick she learned from her husband Justin Theroux.

"Right before [the oatmeal] is finished cooking, you just whip in an egg white and it kind of gives it this fluffy texture that's delicious," Aniston explained.

Jennifer Aniston is a woman of simple pleasures and this translates into her daily meals. At lunchtime, she likes to indulge in "some form of vegetables or salad with protein" and it is "probably the same" for dinner.

To keep hunger at bay, the blonde bombshell likes to munch on an apple paired with almond butter or some nuts.

While maintaining a healthy diet is important, Aniston confessed that the rules don't always apply when it comes to holidays and special occasions. She used to "go all out" on Mexican food but thanks to her beau, these days she rather have a "really good pasta" instead.

"Pasta has taken over as my new favorite go-to-town food," Aniston confesses. "Yes, he has brought the pasta back into my life, I don't know whether I should thank him or hate him for that," she added.

But at the end of the day, Aniston is indeed grateful for her husband's "irresistible" pasta carbonara and she even learned how to recreate it.

"I've learned how to make it," she says proudly, "and it's not that bad for you! It's just an egg, parmesan cheese, and a little pasta water. And we substitute turkey bacon for real bacon, so, you know."

You too can recreate the carbonara using this recipe. I must admit that I expected Aniston's diet to be much fancier than it is, but this just goes to show that you don't need expensive food or supplements to achieve a killer bikini body. It's all about balance.
