Another day, another Duggar trying to break free from their family's strict rules. It's been widely reported that Jinger Duggar is the most rebellious of all the kids. She's worn pants since she got married, and she's been married for over a year and has yet to have kids.
Then there's Joy-Anna Duggar, who allegedly got pregnant before she was married, which is why her wedding got pushed up so soon after the engagement.
Then, of course, there's Derrick Dillard, the son-in-law who cannot (and will not) stop making controversial comments on Twitter.
Jill Duggar has always been very by-the-Duggar-book, however, so when fans spotted her new nose piercing and tattoo, they were taken aback.
First, Jill broke the news of her nose piercing by posting a picture with her sons Israel, 2, and Samuel, 4 months, on Instagram.
While the Duggars aren't against ear piercing, a nose piercing has never been had in the family. Some considered it a sign of rebellion, especially since she also wore knee-revealing clothing recently.
As if that wasn't enough to get the rumor mills running, Jill Duggar also debuted a new (albeit henna) tattoo on Instagram.
Jill's sudden defiance is a shocking turn, as she's often considered the "model daughter" for the family. Some are speculating that Jill is pregnant with her third child, and the nose piercing is to help make that process easier, as "nerves from the left nostril are linked with female reproductive organs."
Though tattoos and piercings may not seem that big of a deal, the Duggar family has often used the Bible to solidify their beliefs and rules.
"And a cutting for the dead you will not make in your flesh; and writing marks you will not make on you; I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28
"I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes." Timothy 2:9
