Dubbed one of the world's greatest bands, the Beatles conquered the charts and left a legacy that won't soon be forgotten, and I'm not just talking about their music.
Not only did the Fab Four have a huge influence on artists who came after them, they also inspired their own children, who, of course, inherited some of their talent.
George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison, Ringo Starr's sons Zak and Jason Starkey, John Lennon's sons Julian and Sean Ono Lennon, as well as Paul McCartney's son James McCartney, all followed in their fathers' footsteps and pursued careers in music.
Others, like Paul's daughters Stella and Mary McCartney channeled their artistic creativity into other passions, like fashion design and film-making.
But artistic abilities aren't the only things Beatles offspring got from their famous fathers. Some of them bear uncanny resemblances to their parents, and a photo Sean recently shared is proof of that.
Captioned, "Peekaboo...," the photo is a selfie shot of Sean, 42, and James, 40, that appears to have been taken during a music session as James is posing with a guitar.
Both Sean and James have prolific solo careers. Sean has released three albums and worked with some big artists like Lenny Kravitz and Mark Ronson. He has also contributed to a number of film soundtracks.
James, who once said he was inspired to take up music after seeing Marty McFly play the guitar in Back to the Future, recorded a couple of EPs before his debut album, Me, was released in 2013.
The new Instagram photo went viral very quickly as fans couldn't help but be stunned at just how much the longtime friends look like their dads.
Seriously, just look at Paul and John in this photograph from back in the day and you'll see exactly why everyone is freaking out.
Fans took to the comment section to express their excitement over the idea of Sean and James performing together.
"Why don't you make a worldwide tour with the other Beatle's kids... It would be amazing..!!" commented one fan. Another wrote, "Very nice! Now how's about writing a song together?"
"Epic photo guys. Will you write a song for the world to enjoy?" asked another fan.
It's unclear if the duo are working on a project together, but Sean has previously hinted that he would like to start a band with James and Dhani. For now, we'll just have to wait (impatiently) and see what they have in store for the fans.
This isn't the first time one of Paul's children has caused people to do a double take. In 2017, his teenage daughter, Beatrice, was photographed after years of hiding from the spotlight, and there's no mistaking that she is a McCartney.
She looked drastically different from her last public appearance, but one thing that caught everyone's eye is just how much the teen looks like her 74-year-old dad. Their likeness was cleat before, but her new shorter hairdo just reminded many people of a young Paul.
Like her father and brother, Beatrice also has a love for music, but according to her mother, Heather Mills, it seems like she has no desire to make a career out of it.
