Khloe Kardashian Finally Confirms The Sex Of Her Baby, But Was Disappointed

We may think that we know everything about the Kardashians, but that's not really true. We've been keeping up with the reality TV family for eleven years, but everything they've shared with us have been carefully planned and calculated.

Khloe Kardashian's pregnancy is a perfect example.

The 33-year-old was rumored to be pregnant since last fall, but despite the never-ending speculation and confirmation from sources close to the family, she did not officially reveal the news until last December.

Khloe shared a photo of her belly on Instagram and revealed in the captions that she and her NBA star boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, have a baby on the way. She called the milestone "my greatest dream realized."

"We are having a baby!" Khloe wrote. "I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient."

Khloe struggled with fertility issues in the past, which rendered her unable to have a child with her ex-husband, NBA player Lamar Odom. So as expected, when she found out she was finally going to be a mom, she wanted to keep the news between her family and friends for a while.

Pregnancy complications

"I know we've been keeping this quiet but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and close friends as long as we could privately. To enjoy our first precious moments just us ❤️."

However, the reality star later revealed that the real reason she kept the happy news under wraps was because she was worried about having a miscarriage, especially since her body doesn't produce enough of the hormone progesterone. This hormone is very important during pregnancy.

"If the doctor is telling me not to announce anything until a specific time then I respect that. I hate that everyone is prying and so nosy. It's super frustrating."

Ever since the Kardashian sister was given the clear, she has been sharing more and more details about the bun in her oven with the public. Still, people found something else to speculate about: the baby's sex.

Khloe kept that piece of information on the down low for a while, but she finally confirmed it on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The gender reveal

Last October, there were some very convincing rumors that Khloe and Tristan are expecting a boy, but turns out they couldn't have been more wrong.

Just like her sisters, Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner, Khloe will be bringing home a baby girl!

The news was broken to the expecting mother by her younger sister Kylie, who became a first time mom to a baby girl, Stormi Webster, last month. Khloe was on a trip to San Francisco with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian when the youngest Kar-Jenner sister called to deliver the news.

"You're having a girl!" Kylie excitedly told Khloe over the phone. "You're lying!" Khloe responded.

"I'm not lying," Kylie retorted. "I'm so excited for you Khloe!"

Khloe was admittedly disappointed that she was wrong about thinking that she was expecting a boy.

"When you have your mind made up as to what you're having, like everyone told me you're going to feel what you're having and you'll just kind of know," she later explained. "And then when you find out it's the complete opposite it's just a shock. I just was convinced that I was having a boy, so to be having a girl it's just like, "˜OK that wasn't what I thought was going on.'"

Khloe eventually accepted that she was indeed going to be mom to a little girl, and took to social media to share the exciting news with the world.

"I am now so excited my daughter will have forever best friends with Chicago and Stormi!! God is great!!! Thank you Lord for our princess," she wrote on Twitter.

Baby name picks

Now, fans are wondering what Khloe and Tristan will name their daughter.

Khoe told Ellen a few months ago that they haven't decided on a name for their child. However, if the baby is a boy, they would've named him Tristan Jr. after his father. As for a girl, Khloe said that she doesn't "even know where to begin," but she wants it to begin with a "K or a T for Tristan."

If she follows in her sisters's footsteps, then we will never be able to guess the baby's unique name and it won't be announced until after birth. So we'll just have to wait and see how things unfold.

In addition to Chicago and Stormi, the new addition to the Kar-Jenner brood will join Kim and Kanye West's other children, North and Saint, Rob Kardashian's daughter, Dream, and Kourtney's children, Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick.
