Halloween is not only an excuse to put on a costume and channel someone else for a day, it is also one of those rare occasions when you can eat as many sweet treats as you want without judgement.

For those of us who are probably too old to trick-or-treat, Krispy Kreme has announced that it will be treating us all to some tasty goodies for free!

For years, the doughnut and coffee chain has been honoring its tradition of giving away free doughnuts to its customers on Halloween and this year is no different.

So let's get into the details of this sweet deal.

Just like the previous years, Krispy Kreme will give you a free doughnut of your choice, you can even opt for a special creme-filled Halloween donut, as long as you show up in a costume.

With a few exceptions, the deal will be offered at Krispy Kreme locations across the United States and Canada (you should probably still check before you go.)

The offer is valid from open to close and since there are no restrictions to how many locations you can visit in a day, you can claim a free doughnut from all the Krispy Kreme stores in your town. We don't judge.

If a complimentary doughnut isn't worth putting on a costume for, then perhaps Chipotle's annual "Boorito" deal might be more enticing to you. Show up in your Halloween garb between 3 p.m to close and score a burrito, burrito bowl, order of tacos or salad for $3.
