Lady Gaga Performs In Vegas, Then Someone Walks On Stage And Shocks The Crowd

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are the most interesting duo in Hollywood right now, if you ask me. It never seemed likely that the eccentric Gaga and serious Cooper would be a match made in heaven, but the incredible work they did on A Star is Born proved me wrong, and I'm so glad they did.

The film is being touted as an Oscar favorite, although there was some controversy about Cooper being snubbed by the Academy for Best Director at this year's awards. Gaga spoke about it with the Los Angeles Times, saying she doesn't think the actor is necessarily upset, considering there are seven other nominations.

At the end of the day, he knows that he's the best director in my eyes, and in all of our eyes as his cast," she said. "I know that he's so happy that we've all been nominated and that the film was recognized and we all feel really, really beyond elated for the recognition.

It's not just Gaga who swoons over her co-stars talents, it's also vice versa. Cooper has made it clear in the past that he was only going to do the film if the Perfect Illusion singer was onboard. The two have grown to be extremely close friends, and the way they speak about each other is amazing.

"I'm just so glad God gave her the talent that she has and he chose her, because that's quite a vessel to go through," Cooper said of Gaga's talent on Good Morning America. "Because it's really what you do with it, and she's such a beautiful human being."

The most popular song from the film is "Shallow," which has been nominated for countless awards at this point. The haunting duet is tragically beautiful, and after it won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, Gaga couldn't help but thank Cooper for believing in it.

I didn't get to say everything I wanted to say last night when we won, I was so overcome with emotion and of course wanted to share the mic with my co-writers. We are all so grateful Bradley loved "Shallow," sang his heart out live, and truly the song would not be revered as it is without the brilliant film and moment Bradley created and the way he directed the moment and collaborated with us on how it would eventually be given to the world. Thank you B, and thank you Warner Bros. Thank you HFPA, we are beyond grateful.

The song has become part of Gaga's Vegan residency, and last night the fans who were at the show got to witness something truly magical. Cooper himself showed up on stage and sang the duet with his on-screen love, and it brought chills to everyone.

You can tell that Cooper and Gaga are really enjoying the moment, even though Cooper had problems getting his ear pieces in.

Cooper also rocks out as Gaga sings her part, showing that he really is in awe of the performer's talent.

By the end, the two are sitting on the piano bench together, sharing a touching moment between on-screen lovers and off-screen friends.

You really need to witness the amazing performance, that is surely going to garner the attention of the Academy. Was it a publicity stunt? Possibly. But did that make it any less special? Not at all.
