Warning: The videos featured in this story includes footage of real animals in the wild, and they can be tough to watch.

For nature lovers, like myself, wildlife documentaries have their ups and downs.

Of course, it's amazing to see these wild animals in their natural habitats. But not all creatures get along in the circle of life.

Often, these documentaries capture the dramatic moment when predator and prey meet, and that's just what happens in this clip from the new BBC Earth series Dynasties.

The viral video, narrated as always by the smooth voice of David Attenborough, opens on a young, male lion nicknamed Red.

After venturing away from his pride, the lion is quickly surrounded by a pack of hyenas, who see the isolated cat as their next meal.

It makes for pretty compelling TV, as the hyenas circle Red, nipping at his flanks, and the young lion gets more and more desperate with each passing second.

But, as always, there's a twist ending that takes the clip to the next level:

Did you make it all the way to the end?

Most of the clip's 7 million viewers say they cheered when Tatu came to Red's rescue.

"Ellen should invite Tatu on her show & hit him up with a lifetime supply of steak," one wrote.

But others have accused the filmmakers of cobbling together different scenes to make their documentary more dramatic.

The clip reminded many viewers of another dramatic wildlife video, the iconic snake and iguana chase from Planet Earth II:

The thrilling scene inspired a number of parody versions, including one narrated by rapper Snoop Dogg.

If you're brave enough to watch the video again, you'll see why more than 15 million viewers have cheered on the plucky iguana.

What did you think of the video? Does it look real to you?
