"Little People, Big World" Might Be Ending, Matt Roloff Hints

Broadcasting & Cable

It's been more than a decade that we've been following the lives of the Roloff family on the TLC hit reality show Little People, Big World.

If it wasn't for them, most of us would have no clue what it's like living with dwarfism.

Matt and Amy Roloff, and their children Molly, Jacob, and twins Jeremy and Zach have been through thick and thin. We were shocked when Matt and Amy split up in 2016, and rejoiced when their children got married in the last couple years and welcomed their children to their big world.

But like every time the Roloff family's lives seemed to be on a downward spiral, everything seemed to be okay not too long after. However, this time things aren't looking too good...

News of the show possibly calling it quits comes only two years after Jacob Roloff walked away from Little People, Big World.

Jacob called out the producers of the show for not depicting his family the way they should be and for scripting the show too much.

"The family that is filmed is not my family," Jacob wrote in a shocking Instagram post. "They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself."

We forget that reality shows aren't as close to reality as we think they are. They're made to entertain, and producers must find ways to provide that entertainment to keep the ratings high.

After a brief hiatus from social media, Matt Roloff has returned and he also has a bone to pick with producers...

Butting Heads

I'm sure we're all psyched to watch the new season of the show, but will it end up becoming the series finale?

It all started when a fan commented on the preview of season 13: "Hi Matt, saw a preview of your new show and saw Amy acting up again. What's wrong with her? She's determined to butt heads with you at every turn. She is losing a lot of people's respect."

If you haven't seen the preview, it shows Matt and Amy arguing over family farm issues.

Matt replied to the Facebook user's comment not too long after:

"I totally agree. We've been pushing the new producers to stop making our show negative and keep the family love and togetherness in the forefront. For some reason, these new producers/editors that come in to work...don't know the show and want to amplify the negative... I'm not sure we can take that kinda of editing much longer. Errrrr."

Matt and Amy have happily moved on, and yet producers are still looking for ways to profit from the family's misfortune.

So far Amy has only expressed excitement for the new season, but comments from her past reveal something interesting...

History

Amy has also called out the show on being fake. While she's never publicly condemned it, she's mentioned it.

When she was defending her boyfriend from online haters, Amy replied to a comment saying, "Try not to make quick assumptions about anyone from what you see on an edited show."

Keep in mind, this isn't the first time that the show has called it quits.

In 2010, TLC announced that season six would be last for the beloved show. Once the final season aired, the network aired the specials "Conquering Mount St. Helens", "Breaking Down the Walls", and "Welcome to the Jungle".

Then came the spin-off series Little People, Big World: Wedding Farm until TLC announced that the original show would return for a seventh season in 2013.

Currently, Little People, Big World is one of the longest running show on TLC that is still being aired.

I'm sure it would be devastating for many people to have to see the show finally end. I've been following the lives of the Roloffs since 2006, and I know I would be.

Fans are hoping that these new producers get it together before every member of the Roloff family quits.

Do you agree with Matt Roloff? Is the show negatively portraying his family?
