Remember as a kid when you and your friends would occasionally throw something out the school bus window? Do you remember the reactions of the people who were the recipients of your impromptu projectiles. I remember seeing people give the middle finger salute, or just turning to yell something inaudible at us immature little punks.
A man in Baltimore recently won the "award" for most insane reaction to a school bus projectile.
68-year-old Leverne Doran's car was hit by a bottle thrown by someone on a school bus. Instead of having a private rage fit and moving on with the rest of his day, he decided that he would take things from 0-100 in the blink of an eye.
What he did has people both laughing and scratching their heads at the same time.
Doran chased down the bus and tried to get the driver to open the door. What he planned to do once getting on the bus no one knows, but the bus driver intelligently refused to open the door for the irate man.
When it was clear he wasn't going to get on the bus, he took it a step further. He jumped up onto the hood of the bus, grabbing the hood latch and one of the side view mirrors.
Although what he did is supremely stupid, I am mildly impressed at both his ability to get up onto the bus, and to stay attached to it as it moved down the road. He even threw in a couple of fist slams onto the hood to help make his point. The video was captured on one of the passenger's cell phones.
The bus was carrying middle-school students and the driver was justifiably worried about their safety. Listen, I am not advocating for what the students did, it was stupid and dangerous to begin with, but Mr. Doran showed those students just how stupid they could be as adults.
He has been charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing a school bus driver. I'm curious to see how good he would be at riding a mechanical bull.
