Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went public with their relationship, the former Suits star has been at the center of international attention.

Although she was used to some media attention through her past acting gigs, nothing could prepare her for her newest role of becoming a royal.

In the past few months, Meghan's been plagued with several challenges in her personal life including dealing with her big-mouth family and losing touch with some of her closet friends.

"Meghan has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding, which has been tough," a source told PEOPLE. "She's finding it hard to know who to trust."

"It was very wearing on her. It's her private life."

Luckily for the Duchess of Sussex, she's gained a strong support system with her in-laws.

While we've seen her bond with Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton at public events, it turns out there's another royal she's considered incredibly close with.

Aside from her husband, Vanity Fair reports Prince Charles has developed a "lovely relationship" with his daughter-in-law, especially after he stepped up to walk Meghan down the aisle at her wedding.

"Charles showed so much love towards Harry and Meghan, and I think Harry will be eternally grateful to his papa for stepping in and giving Meghan's hand in marriage," an insider told the publication.

"The bond between them is very close," they said, adding that the Prince of Wales has also given Meghan his support while she's been dealing with her strained relationship with her own father.

"Charles has been very supportive of Meghan and everything she is going through with her own father. He's got a real soft spot for her and thinks she's the best thing to have happened to Harry."

Vanity Fair said Meghan and Harry had spent nearly a week with Charles at the Castle of Mey, where they enjoyed "dining at the castle, reading, walking dogs, and talking."

"Camilla doesn't stay too long, she loves her bucket-and-spade holidays in Devon with her grandchildren, so it must have been a thrill for Charles to have Meghan and Harry stay." a source revealed.

We love that Meghan and Charles are close friends and can't wait to see what the future holds for the royal family!
