Meghan Markle's Sister Lashes Out Again, Says Meghan Is To Blame If Dad Dies

Splash News

If you had to think of a famous dysfunctional family off the top of your head, nobody would be surprised if you immediately answer the Markles.

The parental side of Meghan Markle's family seem to discuss the newest royal every other day, so it's become the norm to hear them ranting and raving about the "duchess of nonsense."

Although the media was taken aback when Meghan's older half-sister Samantha Markle called Prince Harry a "wuss" and should have tied the knot with his former girlfriend Cressida Bonas instead. However, it's her latest message that has captured everyone's attention.

"If our father dies I'm holding you responsible, Meg!"

During her latest Twitter tirade, Samantha has arguably went a step too far when she said, "If our father dies I'm holding you responsible, Meg!"

"Glad you have so much time to gallivant around paying tribute to others while ignoring her own father!" Samantha continued, referencing to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's trip to the Nelson Mandela exhibition at the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall.

"My father is not an embarrassment for loving his daughter! The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold. You should be ashamed of yourselves," she concluded her series of tweets.

Samantha's jabs may be in reference to Thomas' heart attack, which occurred just days before the royal couple walked down the aisle. Although their father claimed he had spoken to Meghan on her wedding day, he claims he hasn't spoken to her since.

"All they have to do is speak to me."

On July 17, Thomas sat down with celebrity news website TMZ and said he'd no longer be silenced.

According to the father-of-three, he isn't bothered by Kensington Palace freezing him out, and he won't stop speaking to the press until Meghan returns his calls.

"I was silent for a full year and the press beat me up every day saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico, so I gave my story," Thomas explained. "Apparently that interview put the Royal Family in their silence mode ... so, I gave another interview to break the silence. All they have to do is speak to me."

However, Thomas won't be winning his daughter over if he continues opening his mouth - or goes on reality TV.

In a recent interview with The Sun, the retired lighting director said he believes his youngest daughter looks "terrified" in her new role as a royal.

"My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified. I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile," Thomas said. "I've seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don't like the one I'm seeing now. This one isn't even a stage smile"”this is a pained smile."

"That might be just having a couple of bad days. I don't know. It really worries me. I think she's under too much pressure," he added. "There's a high price to pay to be married to that family."

However, there may be some truth to his words, as sources are reporting Meghan is finding it difficult to follow certain royal rules.

"I think she finds it a little frustrating at times."

When Meghan became a royal, she had to ditch her acting career and go into philanthropy work full-time. She's recently been seen on outings with the Queen and Kate Middleton, but sources say she's still learning the ropes.

According to the insider, Meghan "has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way."

"I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it," they added.

And Meghan's discomfort isn't a well kept secret either. During a recent trip to Ireland, Senator Catherine Noone said the Duchess Meghan told her she was "pleased to see the result" of Ireland's recent referendum to legalize abortion.

It's known that regardless what the royal family's private opinions are, they should stay neutral when it comes to politics.

"That's an example of her naí¯veté," says Crown historical consultant and royal biographer Robert Lacey said. "Within the royal family they talk freely, and everyone knows the rules. She's learning the hard way that you can't trust anyone outside the narrow circle."

However,  Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra said her good friend is adjusting to her royal duties just fine.

"She's doing amazing," she said. "It's so nice to see."

We hope Meghan's family doesn't distract her ability to follow royal protocol, because she's doing an amazing job so far!
