Michael Buble Welcomes Baby Girl And She Has The Sweetest Name

On Halloween 2016, Michael Buble and his wife, Luisana Lopilato were hit with news no parent ever wants to hear: their three-year-old son, Noah, was diagnosed with liver cancer.

"My whole life changed and my perspective on life, my philosophical idea of what it's all about and what matters, in one snap," Buble told ET Canada in a recent interview. "And that's a good thing because I'm thankful for the grace, I'm thankful for the faith and I feel deeply connected to people."

With their lives turned upside down, it was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but a little over a year later, the family has so many reasons to celebrate.

In addition to Noah being in remission, Buble was planning his comeback by hosting the 2018 Juno Awards in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.

It was during the event that he made the surprise announcement that he was about to become a father for the third time.

"Oops, you did it again," he said. "My wife and I are pregnant with our No. 3 ... no, it's not Jim Cuddy's baby I love you so much, mi amor."

Lopilato later showed off her bump on the red carpet as she walked arm in arm with the "Everything" singer.

Hello! magazine was the first to report that the 42-year-old crooner and Lopilato are expecting a baby girl. Buble himself later confirmed the news on Ireland's Today FM radio's The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show.

"I got my first little girl coming in three weeks, and I've actually never said that before in public. I've got a daughter coming," he said.

Finally, on Thursday, July 26, the couple, who also share a two-year-old son Elias, announced the arrival of their six pounds, one ounce bundle of joy.

The proud mom shared a black-and-white photo of her newborn's tiny hand on Instagram along with a sweet caption in her native Spanish.

"How to explain that our heart explodes with love? That there's not enough hours in a day to think about it," wrote the Argentine actress. "I thank God for making us this gift of life and happiness! Because looking in her eyes is looking at heaven itself!"

While Buble and Lopilato, who are said to be "beyond overjoyed," didn't immediately reveal the baby's name, a rep for the family later told The Associated Press that they have named her Vida Amber Betty.

Vida, which is also the name of actor Matthew McConaughey's eight-year-old daughter, means "life" in Spanish.

Her middle names were picked in honor of her grandmothers. Amber is Buble's mother's name, while her maternal grandmother is named Betty.

Congratulations to Buble and Lopilato! They deserve this happiness.
