Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are one of the best celebrity couples around. They're down to earth, drama free, and have been friends forever. The duo first starred on That '70s Show together when Kutcher was 20 and Kunis was 15.

They remained friends for many years, both dating other people, but at some point fate brought them together. Kunis recently opened up about their relationship and how it really began on the podcast WTF with Marc Maron, and it's literally the plot of a romantic comedy.

"I did a movie called Friends With Benefits. He did a movie that was very similar called No Strings Attached. We lived our movies out," she recalled. "We were just like, let's just hook up. Let's have fun. We're both single. We both trust each other. Everything's great."

It was what worked at the moment, but not long after they started hooking up, Kunis realized she couldn't do it any more.

We were both [...] seeing other people, and so the second that I started caring that he was seeing somebody else, then I was like, I all of a sudden had a sense that I got punched in the gut. I felt it. I was like, 'Oh my God, I'm in love with this man and I have to walk away because this is not the agreement that we had.'

Kunis explained all this to Kutcher, and removed herself from the situation. She was devastated and said she "bawled" all the way home. But Kutcher wasn't about to let her go.

The next day, at seven, eight in the morning, he just showed up at my house. He showed up at my house and was like, 'Let's move in together.' And I was like, 'You can't do this. It's too early for you,' because he was only single at that point for maybe a year, a year and a half "” [...] I said you need to date other people. And he said, 'I'm not gonna lose you.'

The rest is history, and now they're married and have two beautiful kids together!

Kunis admits that it's hard to think about the time they had lost, but it was worth it in the end.

"We would have never been together if we didn't both go through what we went through in order to be the people that we were when we reconnected," she explained. "The people that we were back then would never be together. But it's just such a bummer that we missed out on 20 years together. I look back and I think, "˜We could have spent 20 years together.'"

In the end, love will find a way. You just have to be willing to wait for it!
