A few days after she allegedly dumped a salad on someone's head at a restaurant, Miranda Lambert is making headlines again...except this time it's for something positive.
The "Something Bad" singer shocked fans on Saturday when she announced that she's now a married woman!
Lambert posted the announcement on both Twitter and Instagram, sharing photos of her and her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin.
"In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me. â¤ï¸#theone"
The marriage comes as a surprise to many, mainly because they didn't know she was dating anyone. Lambert was famously married to fellow country star Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015, but that ended amidst rumors that Lambert had cheated on The Voice coach, and vice versa. She was then linked to another singer, Anderson East, but they announced their split in April of 2018. Lambert also dated Evan Felker, another musician, but that ended in August of 2018.
TMZ did some digging and found out that McLoughlin is an officer with the NYPD, who's assigned to the Midtown South precinct in Manhattan. He's been with the force for several years, according to their sources. Other than that, there's not a whole lot to be known about Lambert's new beau.
Lambert hasn't been shy to talk about her love life in the past, saying that every up and down has its purpose.
"Love is a hard road sometimes and it's been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I'm definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I've had some really good songs come out of it," Lambert told The Tennessean. "You've got to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts."
Hopefully this marriage works out better than her last one, because from the sounds of it in her song "Got My Name Changed Back" with Pistol Annies, things didn't go well the first time around.
"It takes a judge to get married, takes a judge to get divorced / Well the last couple years, spent a lotta time in court / Got my name changed back," Lambert sings. "Well I wanted somethin' new, then I wanted what I had / I got my name changed back. Well I've got me an ex that I adored / But he got along good with a couple rogue whores / Got my name changed back."
