The Australian-American actress is known for playing all sorts of movie characters, but in real life, she plays the fearless mother.

Nicole Kidman shares her son and daughter, Connor and Isabella Jane, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

She also shares her two young girls, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, with her longtime husband Keith Urban.

On July 30, the mother-of-four caused quite a stir.

Kidman posted a video of her capturing a tarantula on Instagram, and it's got a lot of people talking.

"House guest! Catch and release...spider released unharmed and healthy ❤️Happy Sunday," she captioned her post.  

A massive black tarantula was heading inside the pool when Kidman scooped the spider up.

You can hear her children screaming in the background of the video, clearly afraid of the spider.

"Get back mom! Step back! It's going in the pool!" Kidman's children scream in panic as she films the rescue mission.

The 51-year-old Academy Award winner also won the hearts of many around the world for saving the spider.

"I'm having to take care of this spider," she said in the video, looking at the camera. "Help!"

Of course, many people expressed that they could never do what she did, but they admired the good deed.
