There's nothing that creates a more powerful bond between two people than their children.
For example, my then-boyfriend and I were head over heels for each other during the time I accidentally got pregnant. Neither one of us wanted children, but it just happened.
Then approximately six months into my pregnancy he broke up with me.
It was the most stressful experience of my life. I couldn't imagine becoming a single mother and having to support my new baby with only one income.
When he heard the news that I was in labor, he rushed to the hospital to be by my side. He held my hand almost the whole time, and when I finally gave birth, he held his first son.
He may have called it quits a few months before, but that all changed when he looked into those big blue eyes that looked just like his own.

The Greatest Gift
It was the happiest moment of Chad and Lauren's life: the birth of their first daughter, Everly.
Only a day after Everly's birth, the newborn was given an important task by her father.
She was given a onesie to wear that had a very important message written on it.
The message was meant to be kept secret until Everly's parents were together and surrounded by their family.
Chad and Lauren's cousin came up with the idea, and even brought the nurses on board to help with the big surprise.
When everyone was finally together to celebrate Everly's birth, Chad handed his daughter to her mother.
The new mother began unwrapping the blanket around her daughter and noticed something written on her onesie.
She read it carefully, surprised at this message: "Mommy will you marry daddy?"
The couple's family captured the whole thing on video, and shared it on YouTube, where it went viral.
In the beginning of the video, you can see that Lauren is feeling tired and her stomach is still bloated, since she had recently given birth.
Right when she read Chad's proposal message on their beautiful baby girl, Lauren's face lit up.
"Is this for real?" she said, surprised. "Oh my God, yes! Yes I will!"
Chad went down on one knee and put a gorgeous ring on Lauren's finger.
I can't think of a better way to propose to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. This day was two surprises in one, and luckily the family has it all recorded.
