There are only three people you must thank in any acceptance speech: God and your parents (and maybe not in that order).
While the Oscars offer a night full of tearful thank-yous to supportive moms and dads, some stars like to show their appreciation in an even more exciting way.
Last night, a few stars actually walked the red carpet with their mothers in tow, and the celebrity parents looked just as glamorous as their children.
Bradley Cooper, who had a show stopping performance with his A Star is Born costar Lady Gaga during the ceremony, invited both of the most important women in his life: his girlfriend Irina Shayk, and his mother Gloria Campano.
Cooper is a true momma's boy, and Campano was his date for the 2014 Oscars as well.
Meanwhile, Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan smooched his mother Donna for the cameras as they walked the red carpet together.
The proud son even shared a candid photo of them together before the ceremony with a sweet caption. "My mama about to make me have to fight somebody she looking so pretty."
Not to be outdone by the boys, Atomic Blonde star Charlize Theron was joined by her mom, Gerda, who is a regular at the Oscars after appearing at the 2014 ceremony too.

Regina King's mother was sitting beside her, blushing with pride, as she was called on stage for her Best Supporting Actress win. Roma star and Best Actress nominee Yalitza Aparicio was also joined by her supportive mom.

And it was a true family affair for Amy Adams, as her mother and sisters joined her on the red carpet.
While the Dolby Theatre was packed with celebrity relatives, this was hardly the first year where moms and dads tagged along to the Oscars.
In recent years, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Jonah Hill, Jared Leto, and Timothee Chalamet have all made their moms their plus ones for the big event.
