Prince Harry Had To Drop A Nasty Habit Before Meghan Agreed To Marry Him

The once-famous party boy has turned over a new leaf now that he is engaged to American actress Meghan Markle.

We all remember the crazy parties Prince Harry would throw in Vegas and his late nights out at London pubs, but now his future wife-to-be has influenced the prince to drop one nasty habit from his life- smoking.

A few short years ago, the popular royal could be seen putting away a pack of cigarettes in just a day.

Now that he is engaged to Meghan, who lives an exceptionally healthy lifestyle, he has reportedly changed his ways.

"I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly "” it was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned. This beautiful woman literally tripped and fell into my life. I fell into her life and the fact that she will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me because she'll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it," he said.

The former Suits star does yoga, eats clean, runs regularly, and drinks plenty of green juices, so you can imagine smoking is not part of her life.

"My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout; all of those things drive me to step onto my mat or go to the gym," she said. "Sometimes the idea of working out sounds absolutely dreadful, but I always remind myself of how good it will feel afterward. Euphoric, almost!"

So it's no surprise that Harry would be willing to step into a healthier lifestyle with his wife-to-be.

"Harry has promised no smoking at all at home. It's not nice for Meghan as a non-smoker," a friend of the couple told the Daily Mail. "So there's no more hanging out of the window for a quick puff. Harry has quit for Meghan."

It's a good thing she has helped him quit, because smoking inside their home in Kensington Palace is actually banned.

"Royal Household sites have been smoke free premises since November 21, 2016," a royal staff member said. This includes Kensington, Buckingham, Windsor Castle, St James's Palace, and all other homes of the royal family.

Harry is not the only royal to kick the habit. Harry's stepmother Camilla reportedly smoke 10 cigarettes a day, a habit that Prince Charles hated. She quit smoking 15 years ago, and has remained smoke-free since.

Hopefully he's enjoying his healthier lifestyle.
