Everyone in the world seems to be completely obsessed with the musical Hamilton, including the royal family.

Just last night, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle attended a special charity gala performance of the play, and even though people normally go nuts over the music and the acting, it was Harry's sudden outburst that has people talking.

The Duke of Sussex was on stage with the cast of the hit musical, to thank them for their performance when he suddenly burst into song.

Granted it was a short little moment, but his nerves quickly made him stop. He only sang the first line of the song "You'll Be Back" from the musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, but that didn't matter, the crowd went absolutely wild.

He laughed at himself for a moment, before saying "that's definitely not going to happen."

He did however call out Miranda for trying to encourage Harry to join in the songs.

"He did try, but I said, 'No,'" Harry revealed.

He went on to thank the people at the event for the amount of money that they raised for his charity known as Sentebale.

"Together you have raised a huge amount of money to change the lives of children in Botswana and Lesotho," he said.

I think it's fair to say that Miranda was completely floored by Prince Harry's sudden singing, especially given the fact that the play mocks the British monarchy, especially in the depiction of King George.

King George was a distant relative of Prince Harry, and the "You say," that Harry sung was from a song sung by the British king in the play.

After the event, Miranda tweeted "King George III's great-great-great-great-great grandson The Duke Of Sussex sand a few bars tonight," obviously still reeling from the hilarious moment.

While I don't think we can expect any of the royal family jumping over to Broadway any time soon, it's always nice to see the sillier side of the monarchy.

Do you think Prince Harry is a good singer?
