Relive Your Childhood with these Delicious Homemade Pop Tarts

I'm in love with these homemade Pop Tarts! They're sweet, flaky and filled with delicious strawberry jam and WAY better than store-bought.

All you need to make these yummy sweet treats are refrigerated pie crust, jam, icing sugar and milk - that's it! Once you try them you'll be craving them for breakfast every morning. Enjoy!

  • Refrigerated Pie Crust
  • Jam (any flavor you like)
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • Sprinkles, if desired


Preheat oven to 425 F.

Roll out pie crust and cut into 3 inches (8 cm) wide and 6 inches (16 cm) long strips.

Place 2 tsp of jam on the center of the lower half of the pastry strip.

Fold the top half over the bottom to encase the jam. Press sides closed with a fork.

Place the sealed tart on a greased or parchment covered baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.

While the tarts are baking mix together the icing sugar and milk or cream to create the glaze. You want the glaze to have the consistency of syrup.

When tarts are finished baking, remove from oven and let cool. Once cool cover with glaze and add sprinkles, if desired.
