Selena Gomez Put Her Dream Home Up For Sale, And The Photos Are Stunning

You may not know this, but Selena Gomez has deep roots in Texas.

The former Disney Channel star and pop singer grew up in Grand Prairie, before making it big in Hollywood.

Which explains why Gomez bought a $3 million mansion in Fort Worth, which she's trying to give away at a huge discount.

A Texas Dream Home

Gomez bought the mansion in Fort Worth's quiet Montserrat neighborhood in 2015.

Her real estate agent, Ashley Cook, called the home Gomez's "first dream house." And because it's so close to Grand Prarie, it must have seemed like an ideal location.

But Gomez's music career takes her all over the world, and lately she has not been in Texas enough to make the house worthwhile.

"She ended up only spending holidays there," Cook explained.

"Her work schedule takes her all over the place. But she really loved hanging out with her family in that media room."

The house has actually been lingering on the market since 2016 - less than a year after Gomez purchased it - and the star has lowered the price twice in the hope of attracting buyers.

As of now, the 10,000 square foot home, which sits on 1.5 acres of private property, is a steal at $2.7 million.

The Party Mansion

The mansion's neutral tones and wood finishes are very nice, but not what you would expect from Gomez's bright and bubbly personality.

Certain rooms, like the eclectic and colorful dining room, seem like a better match for the pop star.

With five bedrooms (including two masters). six bathrooms, and an eight car garage, the massive property is built for entertaining friends and family.

Features like a bar just inside the entryway, a candy bar in the private theater, and a coffee bar in the game room, hint that Gomez must have hosted some epic parties.

But there are cozy details too: a pair of fireplaces in the living and dining rooms, plus an extra-large soaking tub in the master bathroom.

Stepping outside, the home starts to look more like a private resort.

With a putting green, mixed tennis and basketball court, and an outdoor kitchen, you could spend the entire day lounging around outdoors.

A short walk from the lagoon-style saltwater pool, there's a cabana with lounge chairs and a flatscreen TV - the perfect place to enjoy a cold drink on a hot summer day.

Gomez still "laying low" after transplant

Parting with a home like this would make me cry, but Gomez could probably use one less thing on her plate right now.

Just a year ago, the singer revealed to her fans that she had been "laying low" after recovering from a kidney transplant.

Gomez has lived with the autoimmune disease Lupus for years. The disease can create complications with a patient's kidneys, preventing them from filtering toxins out of their blood.

The pop star had a transplant to improve her quality of life, and her close friend Francia Raisa donated the new organ.

While the treatment was a success, Gomez admitted she "stepped back" from her career in the wake of the surgery.

"I enjoy my life," she told Good Morning America.

"I don't really think about anything that causes me stress anymore, which is really nice."

That sounds like the perfect reason to sell off a massive home in Texas that you only use a few times each year.

But Gomez also revealed she doesn't "live in L.A. anymore," so it seems like she's recuperating somewhere out of the spotlight.

What do you think of Selena's Texas mansion? Would you move in(if you could afford it)?
