The things that soldiers do for their country is outstanding. Probably one of the hardest things they have to do is be away from the ones they love for months at a time, often missing extremely huge moments including the birth of their children.

John was out of the country but wanted to be there to meet his brand new baby girl, so he traveled 22 hours to make it to Des Moines to surprise his wife.

She had no idea he was coming and their reunion will bring a tear to your eye.

Even while they are hugging and crying, reunited for the first time in a very long time, he has his eyes on his brand new daughter.

He is so excited to be back with his family and through the tears you can hear him say "Oh my God, look at her."

He goes over to her and when he gets to pick her up he whispers "She's so little."

He can hardly contain his emotions, but it's totally fine because there isn't a dry eye in the room. Everyone is so happy that he gets to be there, even if he is a day late.

This little girl obviously has a daddy who loves her more than anything!

It must be so hard for the troops to know that their families are going through so much while they are out fighting. It's so nice to see that every once and a while one gets to be there!
