6 Simple Solutions For Your Embarrassing Dandruff Problem

No one likes having dandruff. It's awkward, uncomfortable and super annoying. It is one of those things that even if other people don't notice, you spend all your time worrying that they will. You could avoid all of these irritating self-conscious thoughts if you could manage to get rid of the source.

Well, lucky for you there is hope. People who have tried anti-dandruff shampoos know that sometimes those shampoos actually make it worse, but these remedies actually cure the dandruff! Also, they are are all things you already have in your home so you don't have to spend a fortune to feel better about your hair!

Tea Tree Oil:

Tea Tree Oil is essentially a magical potion that solves so many different problems you will wonder how you have been living without it for so long. If you put some on your scalp the anti-bacterial oil will combat the fungal infection on your scalp which is what causes the dandruff.

Salt:

Mix salt with your regular shampoo to act as a scrub on your scalp. That way all the dead skin falls off in the shower and not on your black sweater. Bonus with this is that it doesn't add an extra step to your routine!

Baking Soda:

Baking soda is kind of like tea tree oil where the uses are almost endless. You can actually make your own dandruff shampoo using nothing but baking soda and water to avoid those annoying flakes.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

When diluted with water apple cider vinegar will restore the pH level to your scalp and keep the flakes at bay. Leave it in your hair for about 15 minutes and then wash and condition like normal.

Lemon Juice:

Use lemon juice as a mask for about 15 minutes and then wash it away with shampoo. Most anti-dandruff shampoos use lemon juice anyways so may as well go straight to the source!

Aloe Vera Gel:

Aloe Vera gel is super hydrating so if you apply it to your scalp it will solve all that dryness that is causing the flakes. Put it on for 20 minutes then wash off. Bonus: it won't leave your hair too oily either!
