Strawberry Filled Puff Pastry Bites Are as Sweet as They Are Cute

These little strawberry filled puff pastry bites are the cutest little treats for summer time! With just a few simple steps and ingredients, you'll have yourself a perfect dessert to serve to your guests after dinner that won't leave them feeling sluggish and full.

I found that this recipe turned out best when I made them with fresh picked strawberries, but essentially any type will do! This recipe is also great when you need something to be done quickly because you're running short on time, the only suggestion I would give is to leave the whip cream until right before serving.

Give them a try this weekend and see what you think! Also, if you're feeling really adventurous try mixing it up and instead of using strawberries, try it with raspberries, or blueberries...or even do a mixture of them!

Here some more treats to try this summer:

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and lay out your puff pastry to defrost.

2. Once your puff pastry has thawed, using a rolling pin to roll it out into a thin sheet then use a knife to cut 32 squares that will fit into your greased mini muffin tray.

3. Bake your puff pastry squares in the oven for about 8 minutes until golden brown and then remove and allow to cool.

4. After washing your strawberries, cut them up into tiny cubes then toss them in sugar and allow to sit for about 20 minutes.

5. After 20 minutes, add your heated strawberry jam to the mixture (you can microwave it for about 1 minute), and mix to combine.

6. Scoop a spoonful of the strawberry mixture into each cooled puff pastry cup, and then top each with a bit of whipped cream.

7. Serve and enjoy!
