Less is certainly not more when it comes to the Christmas decorations at Queen Elizabeth II's London home, Buckingham Palace.
We may not have a lot in common with the 92-year-old monarch and her family, but their love for Christmas is something many of us can relate to.
This year, the Queen has gone above and beyond to make sure all the halls are decked.
The Marble Hall has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland with not just one, but four huge trees decorated with hundreds of twinkling white lights and regal ornaments, including miniature red and gold crowns, royal carriages, and velvet bows.
Running along the length of the grand staircase, is a massive garland embellished with large red bows and colorful baubles.
The video of the palace's transformation was shared on the royal family's social media accounts, along with the message: "It's officially Christmas at Buckingham Palace!"
According to the royal family's website, "The custom of displaying Christmas trees was introduced to Britain in the late 18th century by Queen Charlotte, consort of King George III," before it was "popularized by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the nineteenth century."
The beloved tradition has since been a big part of the holidays in the royal households.
Like the trees at Windsor Castle, the Christmas trees at Buckingham Palace were grown at Windsor Great Park, then brought over to Her Majesty's primary residence at the beginning of December.
Windsor is usually decorated first at the end of November. This year, the centerpiece is a 23ft tall Nordmann Fir placed in St. George's Hall. A second, smaller tree has been added to the Crimson Drawing Room.
The family, including the senior royals Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will get a chance to take in the festive decor at Buckingham Palace later this month when they join the Queen for a pre-Christmas lunch.

The last of the decorations will go up on Christmas Eve at the Queen's Sandringham home, where she and the rest of the family will help decorate a 20ft tree and exchange gifts.
The reveal comes just a few days after Kate Middleton's mother, Carole, explained that her oldest grandchildren, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be getting their own Christmas trees.
According to the proud grandmother, each of the kids get a tree in their room at the Middletons' Buckleberry manor "so that they can decorate it themselves."
After spending some time with Kate's parents, the family will spend the remainder of the holidays with the Queen at Sandrigham. They will be joined by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as Meghan's mom Doria Ragland.
