Pie Crust

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 20 cream filled cookies ( we like to use Oreos)

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in the microwave. and Blend your cookies in a food processor to create crumbs. Add the butter and blend again until the cookies and butter come together. Take the mixture and press it into a greased 9" pie plate. Make sure you press the crust up the edges of the dish since it shrinks down in the oven. Bake your pie crust for 10 minutes.

Pie Filling

  • 3/4 cup of whipped cream
  • 1 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) of cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla
  • 3/4 cup of icing sugar
  • 1 cup of chocolate candies (we used Reese's pieces for extra peanut butter flavor)

While the crust is cooking, whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl cream together the peanut butter, icing sugar and cream cheese. Fold the whipped cream and vanilla into this mixture to create your filling.

Once the crust has cooled pour the filling into the pie and spread it evenly. Chill this for at least two hours. (You can also freeze the pie and take it out an hour ahead of serving time.)

Chocolate Ganache

  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 6 oz semi sweet chocolate

Melt the whipped cream and chocolate together on the stovetop. As the ganache begins to cool it will thicken. You want the ganache cool enough so that it doesn't melt your pie but soft enough that you can pour it. Since the pie has been chilling, it helps set the chocolate.

Pour the ganache over the filling and spread. Then top the pie with your chocolate candies. chill another 15 minutes. Want a little less chocolate? Why not drizzle the ganache over top of the candies instead (See this in the video.)

Slice and serve. This peanut butter pie is insanely delicious. We received rave reviews even from people that don't have a sweet tooth. This dessert is a massive crowd pleaser if you don't eat it all yourself first!

The best part is that this dessert can be as fancy of as casual as you like. Try arranging mini eggs or pecans on top. Shave some dark chocolate over whipping cream for something a little more elevated.
