Tori Roloff Fires Back After Someone Fat Shames Her On Instagram

Instagram - Tori Roloff

Tori Roloff, who is married to Zach Roloff of Little People, Big World, is expecting her second child and has been open about how this pregnancy is harder than her first. While pregnant with her son Jackson, Roloff didn't struggle as much as she has with this pregnancy, which is a girl.

This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than the last. Don’t get me wrong-I’ve been so lucky... im not sick (anymore) and I haven’t had any complications (thank the lord). However I have had a harder time accepting my body this go around. I’ve gotten bigger a lot faster than I did with Jackson and I’ve become a lot more insecure. Hearing people ask me if I’m sure it’s not twins definitely does not help (for all our sakes-don’t ever ask a woman this question. Like ever).

It’s been hard to really enjoy this pregnancy because I’ve let my own body image issues get in the way. Us as women are so badass. Like we can grow babies. And I know I need to give this up to God right and be thankful for this gift-and I’m trying trust me. But for all those women out there-pregnant or not- you need to hear this just like I do: you’re beautiful, you’re strong, and dang it love yourself no matter what. I know someone besides just me needs to hear that today. So excuse me while I go try my best to live out these words and continue growing a freaking human being. 🎀👶🏻

The reality TV star has been doing her best to stay positive, and she's always good at blowing off the haters, but someone sent Roloff a message that really tipped her over the edge.

"Girl, what happens with you, you're so fat, if u have [redacted] in the same condition, look at her, she's son [sic] pretty and not so fat, you should try to eat and live like her, look at u, u look so bad, big face, mug everything," the user wrote in a message to Roloff. "Try to care yourself please. Like I said to u before, try to be healthy for ur family, now ur gonna have 2 kids, give them a good example."

Roloff screenshotted the message and posted it to her Instagram story, responding publicly to the comments.

"I usually DO NOT respond to ridiculousness like this," Roloff started. "But what in the actual heck. I can not believe women talk to other women like this. Calling me fat and unhealthy is the most disgusting thing ever. Comparing me to others is so detrimental. If you want me to be healthy for my family you should be lifting me up not tearing me down. GTFO. I'm pregnant and myself and my baby girl are healthy as can be."

But she wasn't done there. The soon-to-be mom of two continued sharing her experience with mom shaming on the internet.

I am only sharing to remind everyone to be kind to one another. This account is meant to be a place of love and kindness. For every terrible message I get, I get 47293739 of love. I love my fans so much and I love sharing my life with you all. Just remember to be kind to one another. Always. Thank you guys for always keeping it real with me. I'm only here to do me. And if that means eating a milkshake a day guess what? IM HERE FOR IT.

She continued her rant in a video on Instagram, saying women need to stop tearing each other down.

“I did not post that on my social media for me to say, like, ‘Oh, woe is me’ or ‘Feel sorry for me,'” Roloff said. “I put that on my social media only to point out that’s never going to be acceptable on my social media. It should never be acceptable anywhere in the world for women to talk to other women like that. It’s just disgusting. Like, come on, we have better things to do than that.”

I'm glad that Roloff was able to let these comments give a platform to how awful people treat each other, and that she was strong enough to respond publicly. I'm not sure if I would be able to do that!

What do you think of Roloff's response to the haters?

Donna loves spending time in front of the TV catching up on dramas, but in the summer you'll find her in the garden.
