This 4 Ingredient Homemade Treatment Will Get Rid Of Your Scars And Dark Spots

When your skin gets hurt, its natural healing process includes scarring. This occurs when fibrous tissue forms over the wound to protect it while it heals.

We all have scars that resulted from childhood injuries, cuts, burns, surgery, acne, piercings, insect bites, and vaccinations.

For the most part, these scars have become a part of who we are, and we barely pay attention to them. I have a scar on my left shoulder that formed after I was given a needle a few years ago, and I initially hated how it looked. However, after a few years went by, I mostly forget that it is even there.

Unfortunately, not everyone can say the same about their scars. Dark spots and scars come in all shapes and sizes, and can make a person extremely self-conscious.

These little imperfections can sometimes be found in spots that are hard to cover. Scar tissues that haven't healed properly often lead to hyperpigmentation (dark spots), which affects millions of Americans.

Scarfade

Our bodies are very good at fading these scars over time, but sometimes you need to intervene to speed up the process.

There are laser treatments, creams, and peels that are specially formulated to promote cell growth and minimize scar tissue, but they can be expensive or laden with chemicals that do more harm in the long run.

I used to buy so many of these treatments, but none worked nearly as well as the natural, homemade remedy that I've been using for years. I stumbled upon this miracle scar remover while looking for chemical-free ways to fade scars, and I'm never going back.

It only uses four ingredients you already have in your pantry, and you'll notice the difference in as little as a week.

The recipe is really basic, but each of the ingredients contain powerful properties that work wonders on your scars and dark spots.

Honey speeds up healing, while its natural anti-bacterial properties helps to soothe and protect the skin, lemon juice has the ability to naturally brighten the skin and get rid of hyperpigmentation, and nutmeg and cinnamon are believed to be effective in fading imperfections and reducing pigmentation while gently exfoliating the area.

Scar remover recipe:

Ingredients:

- 1 tablespoon honey

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed

- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg

- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

Directions:

1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until a thick paste is formed.

2. If the mixture is too thick, add more lemon juice to loosen it. It should be able to stick to your skin without dripping.

3. Wash the affected area(s), then apply the paste and leave it on for 20 minutes.

4. Rinse off, pat your skin dry, and moisturize.

Things to note:

You can use the scar remover two to three times a week until you notice that the scars are starting to fade.

Just remember to always do a spot test to ensure that you aren't allergic to the concoction.

If your skin shows signs of irritation, stop using the treatment immediately and seek out medical help if the symptoms persist.
