2018 hasn't been going well for some of our favorite Hollywood couples.
Just a few days ago, My Big Fat Greek Wedding stars Nia Vardalos and Ian Gomez announced in a joint statement that they were getting a divorce after 25 years of marriage.
Beverly Hills 90210 alum Jennie Garth and her husband of three years, David Abrams, also called it quits back in April, that same day, former Dancing With the Stars Brooke Burke also filed for divorce after seven years of marriage to David Charvet.
But nothing shocked the public more than Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's breakup. The couple, who met on the set of their film Step Up, were married for nine years.
"We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," they announced in a joint statement. "We feel deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets or salacious events at the root of our decision -- just two best-friends [sic] realizing it's time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly."
So as you can imagine, when rumors began to swirl that power couple David and Victoria Beckham were going through a rough patch, their fans started to become very concerned.
The former Spice Girl and soccer superstar said "I do" in 1999, and have since welcomed four children, sons Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13 and daughter Harper, 6.
Although the couple and their children have always been subjected to intense scrutiny, they usually turn a blind eye and continue on with their lives. However, in a rare move, they released a statement through their spokesperson addressing the divorce rumors.
"There is no impending statement, [there] has been no statement, and there is no divorce," their rep said. "What nonsense. Fake news fueled by social media. Embarrassing for the sloppy outlets who have chosen to write such rubbish."
Shortly after, while attending Forbes Women's Summit in New York City in June, Victoria opened a bit about being a successful entrepreneur with a family.
"I try really, really hard. I try hardest to be the best mother," Victoria explained. "I am trying to be the best wife and the best professional. When I get home I try to put the phone down and spend time with the children and spend time with David," she continued.
The fashion designer admitted that she's able to have a career while raising her children with the help of her "incredible husband."
"I have the support of an incredible husband. We really are equal with everything we do at home with the children," the fashion designer added. "When I'm away he's the one doing the school run and doing the cooking. It's about being in a working partnership."
A few weeks later, the couple are showing the world that their love is stronger than ever as they celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary.
Both Posh and David took to Instagram to share some sweet words about each other and post some videos and snaps of their anniversary date in Paris, France.
"19 Years WOW," David wrote. "This time 19 years ago I was dressed from head to toe in purple. Happy anniversary to the most amazing wife & mummy ... Love You."
Posh also posted the same photo, writing that she loves David "so much." She later added more photos to her Instagram story.
Victoria also showed off a few gifts, flowers and balloons she and David got from their children for the special occasion.
"Lucky mummy and daddy," she wrote in the caption.
The couple just confirmed what many of us have known all along: they're still very much in love with each other and are continuously working on their marriage.
"Over the years, Victoria has fought hard for her marriage, and for David," a source close to the pair recently told People. "She never gave up when someone else might have."
This isn't the first time that David and Victoria have had to deal with speculation about the status of their relationship.
In 2004, News of the World published an article claiming that David had an affair with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos. The athlete dismissed the allegations, which he dubbed "ludicrous," but Loos told the British tabloid that she doesn't wish for David and Victoria's marriage to end.
"I think the problems were in their marriage long before I came into the picture. I in no way intended to break up their marriage especially when there are young children involved. I hope they stay together."
A few years later David admitted in an interview that although "marriage is difficult sometimes," they have always been able to work through things. They even renewed their vows a while ago.
"We have renewed our vows since [our first wedding]," said David, who didn't elaborate on when the ceremony took place. "It was a lot more private, about six people there in our house."
