White House Unveils Its Christmas Decor

The White House may see a myriad of political views over the course of its lifetime, but there's one thing that all the presidents have in common: Christmas.

No matter who is in power, the White House will always be decked to the nines for the holiday season, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Earlier today, First Lady Melania Trump unveiled the White House's 2017 decor, and it's stunning.

"The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House," she said in a statement. "As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us. I hope when visiting the People's House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays. On behalf of my husband and Barron, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season."

The theme this year is "Time-Honored Traditions" and is a nod to 200 years of holiday traditions of the White House.

The Gold Star Family Tree has been decorated with patriotic ribbon, and visitors are encouraged to write messages to their loved ones who are on duty using the tablets provided. The White House's nativity scene, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is also on display.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at the White House on November 30th, and will air on the Hallmark Channel.
