This is a life-changing ice cream hack that will blow your mind! Did you know that you could make ice cream using only a mason jar? It's so simple! Just toss all your ingredients in the jar, shake and freeze the jar until hardened. How cool is that?


  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • mason jar


  1. Pour the cream, sugar, vanilla and salt into your mason jar and secure the lid.
  2. Shake the jar until the cream thickens (about 5 minutes). The cream should easily coat the back of a spoon after shaking.
  3. Place the jar in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
  4. Once frozen scoop out your ice cream and serve with your favorite toppings!
