DIY Sidewalk Chalk Will Keep Your Kids Entertained All Summer

Sidewalk chalk will keep your kids entertained all summer! You can use it to play hopscotch, four-square or just to scribble some silly drawings. It's hours of fun but it's also really simple to make.

The great part about this project is that you can make the chalk into any shapes you like. You can find the molds we used here, but any shape will do! Be careful not to pour any of the Plaster of Paris down the drain or you'll end up with damaged pipes.

Materials

Plaster of Paris

Tempera Paint

Silicone Pop Mold

Wood Craft Sticks

Plastic Cups

Plastic Spoons

Cold Water 1/3 cup

Directions

In a plastic cup mix together the cold water and 2 tbsp of tempera paint.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_05_18-Still066.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_05_18-Still066_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_05_18-Still066_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_05_18-Still066_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Add 2/3 cup Plaster of Paris and mix until thoroughly combined.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_04-Still069.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_04-Still069_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_04-Still069_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_04-Still069_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Pour all your colors into the silicone mold.
