After Her Family Was Robbed, This 8-Year-Old Has A Message For The Thieves

After moving to the United States from Guatemala 9 years ago, Wendy's family finally bought their first house a month ago in Lake Worth, Florida.

While her dad was at work and Wendy's mom Alberthina, was taking her to school, their home was robbed.

"When I come back, I saw the door open and I was scared," Alberthina Son told ABC affiliate WPBF-TV, adding that they called police.

They took jewelry, clothing and the family's tablet.

After Wendy came home from school and heard the news, she took it upon herself to send a message to the thieves.

She wrote this heartfelt message to the robbers, and taped it to the window next to the door, should they return.

"This is for the robers [sic] Please do not steel [sic] in our house. There are good kids and people in this house. We are people that do not steel. [sic]"

She offers some sound advice, "If you start being nice you will have friends that will be nice to you. If they are not nice just go with somebody that is nice. I hope you will have a better life."

Wendy has inspired many people in the neighborhood, that they are reaching out to help the family. Mark Anthony Parrilla, Wendy's next door neighbor, has set up a GoFundMe Page, to help them regain what they lost during the robbery.
