Chicken is one of the best dinners you can have, simply because there are so many ways to make it! Bourbon Chicken is a yummy and easy way to change up your usual chicken dinner.

- 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 3/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 apple juice
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
Heat oil in a large skillet, then add your chicken pieces in.
Once all the chicken is cooked, remove all the pieces from the skillet, leaving the remaining oil. Then add water, brown sugar, apple juice, cider vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, red pepper flakes, garlic and ginger and stir.
Let it come to a boil, then add your chicken back in, and heat until it boils again.
Serve over rice and enjoy skipping the takeout!
