Oreo Has A New Chocolatey Flavor To Help Your Post-Christmas Blues

This year has been tough for so many industries, from automotive to retail, but it seems like the financial difficulties haven't affected food-related businesses nearly as much.

Take Mondelez International for example. You might have never heard of the company, but you definitely do know all about their iconic products, especially Oreo. The company has had a very strong year revenue-wise, and they've been showing it by releasing even more tasty treats for us to enjoy.

Throughout 2018, we've seen all sorts of Oreo products, including new cookie flavors, a dunking set, a record player, a drink mix, and even candy canes.

You would think with the year coming to an end, the company would slow down a bit, but that would just be silly.

The brand recently announced that they've got a brand new chocolately cookie coming out very soon, and the best part is that it is going to be added to their permanent flavor lineup.

The new Dark Chocolate Oreos feature the classic chocolate wafers stuffed with dark chocolate creme that's "made with real cocoa" as indicated on the package.

The company is releasing the cookie as a way of celebrating the the winter solstice on December 21 - which happens to be the shortest and darkest day of the year. The new cookie is inspired by the long, chilly winter nights where only a cup of hot decadent hot cocoa can lift up your spirits.

The company hopes that their newest treat will "help fans embrace the darkness and add a dose of playful excitement to the shorter and colder days ahead."

If you're hoping to get your hands on the Dark Chocolate Oreos before Christmas, I'm afraid I have some disappointing news for you. The cookies won't hit the shelves until January 2, 2019.

But on the bright side, we can be comforted in knowing that once all the holiday hoopla is over, there will be delicious Oreos available when that January slump hits.

If you thought the company knocked it out of the park with this year's releases, then you should be prepared to be blown away in 2019.

They're gearing up to release their biggest cookie to date, and it will apparently be called "Most Stuf." Based on photos of the product that leaked in October, the cookie is expected to have three times the amount of creme.
