'The Voice' Contestant Risked Rejection Twice With Live Proposal

Trae Patton - NBC

If guts were all it took to win The Voice, Denton Arnell would already be this season's winner.

After impressing judge John Legend with his soulful cover of Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home," the Chicago native invited his girlfriend Tiffany on stage to share the special moment with her.

But Tiffany was stunned when the singer dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him.

"Being that [John] gave me a yes, I wanted to see if Tiffany would give me a yes," Arnell said.

Despite knocking his noggin against Tiffany's while kneeling down, she said yes and the judges gave the happy couple a standing ovation.

"Talk about a BUMP on the screen!" Arnell joked about his appearance on Twitter. "I want to say thank you for ALL your support! WOWWWW!!! What a great night!!! Not just 1 Yes but 2..."

Legend joked about the memorable moment too, saying he deserved "the award for best wingman ever."

As the blind auditions continued, one of the night's most heated moments came as Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Levine fought to recruit Mari Jones.

Her cover of "Boo'd Up" livened up the night, and the singer is bound to be one of the standout performers for Team Adam.

Levine and Legend also went head to head for singer Ciera Dumas, who was voted "most likely to win The Voice in high school."

While her dreams are still a long way off, Dumas' cover of "Tell Me You Love Me" by Demi Lovato was a crowd-pleaser. She also picked Team Adam, and we bet the Maroon 5 singer is happy to have her on his side.

All four coaches duked it out over the night's last artist (and the episode's only four-chair turn), Shawn Sounds, who performed an emotional cover of "All My Life" by K-Ci & Jojo.

In the end, Clarkson and Blake Shelton's hard work to sway Sounds didn't pay off, and he became the newest member of Team John.
